The Arc Williamson County is committed to helping individuals and families locate and access services and otherwise secure their rights guaranteed by law.  Supporting all individuals in securing the right to choose and realize their goals of where and how they live, learn, work and play is the major focus of The Arc. The Arc works cooperatively with other agencies and governmental entities to help individuals and families solve problems or find appropriate services.  The Arc’s Advocacy Program includes providing both individual and system advocacy as well as information and referral services.    During the fiscal year 2014-2015, advocacy services were provided to 1036 individuals.

Since 1998, The Arc has administered the state funded Family Support Program in Williamson County.  This program is designed to assist individuals with severe disabilities and their families to remain together in their homes and communities.  Services provided include day care, respite care, specialized supplies, home and vehicle modifications, and equipment.  Currently, two hundred and eight individuals in Williamson County benefit from this program with a current allocation of $174,239.  There are one hundred and twenty-five individuals on the waiting list.

The Arc Williamson County began providing Independent Support Coordination Services to individuals on the Medicaid Waiver Program in October of 1997.  Independent Support Coordination Services include helping eligible persons and their families to identify, locate, and access all proposed Medicaid Waiver Services, other necessary services, and informal community supports.  The Arc is currently serving forty-eight individuals in this program.
